We took the ferry to Inishbofin Island seven miles off the coast of Cleggan. Fifteen minutes into our crossing we were already soaking wet! As we approached the island we were greeted by the remains of a centuries old prison for Catholic priests. The island has been inhabited for 8000 years! The land seems fairly untouched. It was beautiful! A true Irish community.
